Är det någon som vet något om tavlan Dans i Dolores? Är den värdefull?

Jeg sitter på noen brev skrevet av Evert Aksel Taube i cordoba i 1914. Der omtaler han en flicka med navnet carmen sylva, hun er 14 år og han er veldig forelsket i henne. Kan dette være Carmencita tro ?

Jag var till sjöss, när Evert Taube lämnade Argentina sista gången, på Ms Silver Gate.

I met Sven Bertil Taube at the Garrick Theatre in London, during '61- '62. He had been invited over by Bosse Hogberg, the newly-crowned Swedish Middleweight Boxing Champion who I had met one day at Henry Cooper's gym, the day I was sparring with Frank Sinatra and got knocked-out! Via me, Bosse was a regular guest at the theatre, loved by all (he wasn't the punchdrunk gangster the Swedish media made him out to be later) entertaining us with his Lasse Dahlqvist takeoffs. He was a fine singer! He took to bringing over the celebraties he met via his boxing; Sven Bertil, Per Oskarsson, Lennard Hyland, Sven Nyqvist (the cinematographer) Ernst-Hugo Jerregard, and Ulf Bjorlin, plus one or two more, perhaps a very young Benny Andersson. "Sweden has many very talented performers," Bosse told us, "as good as any in the world. But it's a small country and nobody's ever heard of Sweden, let alone hear and see our talent. So I thought you might like to soak a little of it up, as well as show them there is a huge world outside Sweden." Oskarsson wasn't comfortable speaking English, but he did his bit in Swedish, it being obvious that he was a very talented actor. The others, especially Sven Bertil who more or less had been brought up in the States, had no problems. We were entranced. And we are talking the cream of British entertainment here, all catagories.

Sven Bertil met Michael Caine at this time. I'm sure Michael recalled the slim, goodlooking Swede when he signed-up for the fab film 'The Eagle Has Landed.'

But the opinion was that Sven Bertil was 'too pretty' to get any really good parts.

I later moved to Goteborg myself, but I never met the guys again.

Kan det vara så att San Pedro, i "Balladen om Gustaf Blom från Borås" avser hamnstaden i Los Angeles? Tredje verser lyder ju "vi lämnade San Pedro och körde till en bar...Blom var betrodd i Wilmington, Los Angeles och själva Hollywood" Jag har alltså trott att Evert avsåg San Pedro LA stämmer inte det?
